Wow! what a celebration we had at our Annual Summer BBQ to Celebrate 25 Years of Oakdale ownership by Mr Kanagaratnam Rajamenon. Clients, Staff, Families and friends gathered together to celebrate him on his success.
The Mayor of Castle Point, Cllr Kate Knott together with her consort Cllr John Knott, officially opened the BBQ with a wonderful heartwarming speech and ribbon cutting. To mark this wonderful milestone, we organised our biggest BBQ ever! BBQ, drinks, popcorn, candyfloss, singing and dancing was enjoyed by all and to top it off Melanie, Home Manager, arranged a special cake to be cut by Kanagaratnam and his family by his side.
Melanie and her team continue to strive for excellence in the care they provide at Oakdale every day. Over the almost 20 years that Melanie has been Manager at Oakdale she, with the support of her team, has cared and supported 309 client admissions and been a pilar of strength and guidance for their families. At our BBQ this year, for our residents Activity Fund we raised a whopping £2,020.00!!! Thank you to all that came and supported and donated.
