Respite care
At Abode Care Homes we understand how difficult it can be to cope with the demands of caring for the elderly on a long term basis, whether you are a relative or a professional carer. We all need a break when faced with such demands and each of our homes provides the perfect location for an older person to live for a few days or weeks.
Our aim of respite care is to provide continuity of care within a comfortable home from home environment and to minimise disruption to the carer and resident alike. To assist with this we establish a full care and assistance programme prior to admission. We have a large qualified staff who are able to attend to any special requirements thus giving reassurance that every need will be catered for while you relax and take a well-earned break.
Fees for respite care are negotiable depending upon the duration of the stay, the level of care needed and the type of room that you choose. Some of our homes have lovely double en-suite rooms for couples or friends to share if they would like to have a break together.
Respite care can be provided at short notice if required although this does depend on whether the home has a room available. If you require the respite service please contact the individual home to see if this service is available for the required period. Alternatively you may contact the advice line and we will help you find one of our homes that do have respite rooms available.
