Introduction

Abode Care Homes are proud to be members of NAPA (National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People).

As well as the personal care that is required, the homes also provide other services including daily newspapers, library service, hairdressing, manicure, pedicure and chiropody. We also offer an extensive range of entertainments and activities throughout all of our homes.

In line with our personal care plans, we tailor all activities to meet the preferences of the individuals living within each community, whether in long or short term care. The activities are designed to maximise social networking within the homes and allow residents to fully enjoy the company of their peers, carers and relatives. Activities revolve around the following areas:

• Entertainment
• Exercise
• Arts & Crafts

Visitors and relatives are welcome to join any activity we offer for a nominal fee.

An up to date example of a weekly activity plan is available within the individual home’s brochure pack. You are welcome to visit any of our homes during an activity session to experience for yourself the sense of community that can be achieved.
